Marathons new Anthracite Black Search & Rescue Divers Automatic wrist watch features sleek matte Anthracite IP coating on the watch case, bezel and crown elevates the watch and provides superior scratch resistance. The Anthracite IP coating is 3 times harder than stainless steel! The Marathon black GSAR watch is water resistant down to 30 ATM 300 meters (1000 feet) underwater.

The watch case is built with 316L surgical grade stainless steel that has an incredibly durable anthracite color IP coating. Its a high quality, purpose-built watch that will reliably accompany you on any adventure you may embark on. The scratch resistant sapphire glass crystal ensures that the dial can be read even under direct sunlight, or deep underwater.

The size is 41.5mm (wide) x 48mm (long lug to lug) x 14mm (high) which is a perfect size for most people. It is substantial but not too large as many watches are today. Inside is a Swiss made, 25 jewel ETA 2824-2 automatic movement, that guarantees a reliable and accurate timekeeping experience.

Tritium gas-filled tubes provide the illumination sources to ensure constant visibility of the time in low light situations. Glass tubes are placed by hand on each hour marker and on each hand.

Tritium tubes are self-illuminating gas tubes which contain an isotope of hydrogen, meaning they will not dull down in brightness like normal photo-luminescent paint which requires an external light source to create a glow. The bezel rotates 360 degrees in 120 clicks and the marker at 12 is made of MaraGlo. As with the original GSAR.

The Marathon black GSAR watch combines military toughness with Swiss craftsmanship in a watch that will get the job done and look great doing it. The watch comes with a vulcanized black rubber strap with an IP coated 316L stainless steel buckle. Manufactured in La Chaux de Fonds, Switzerland.
