The AKARI series of "light sculptures" was created by Isamu Noguchi over a period of 35 years starting in 1951. Among them, 17A is a pendant type AKARI that hangs from the ceiling. It is about 48cm in diameter and has a flat, square pillar silhouette with bamboo strands wrapped around it at even intervals. All AKARI shades are made by hand by craftsmen, and the logo mark is engraved on the finished AKARI.
