Editions de Parfums Frederic Malle Carnal Flower 100ml/3.4oz EDP new in box straight from France to our perfume storage to you. Carnal Flower or forbidden flower is a fragrance with the scent of tuberose.

Tuberose is a beautiful and dangerous flower. In some cultures, it is not allowed for young women to feel its intoxicating scent after sunset. Tuberose is a symbol of forbidden pleasure, hiding its passionate, sensual character behind its fresh, white, floral face.

Its intoxicating scent seduces many perfumers; Frederic Malle and creator Dominique Ropion tried to repeat this scent in their particular way. Frederic Malle was inspired for Carnal Flower during his visits to California, where everything smells like gardenia and tuberose.

Dominique Ropion worked on development of the formula for more than two years. The perfume contains a larger dose of tuberose absolute than any other perfume. The composition opens with heavy, green notes of citrus leaves and branches.

As tuberose develops, the green nuance passes into a note of camphora, which softens the opulent flowers unintrusively. Fruity nuances of melon and coconut add light and slightly gourmet sound to the composition and do not attract attention. The muse for this perfume was Frederic Malles aunt, famous actress Candice Bergen, who acted in the movie Carnal Knowledge with Jack Nicholsonom. The top notes contain: bergamot, melon and eucalyptus. The middle notes include: ylang-ylang, jasmine, tuberose, Salicylates (natural, toxic product of herbal origin, a sort of a herbal feromone which is used by plants as a warning).

The base encompasses: tuberose absolute, orange blossom absolute, coconut and musk. The perfume was created in 2005. We treat every bottle as if we are sending to a friend!

Please keep in mind a few things with Frederic Malle next, and for examples if needed please scan a few different FM listings of mine. The boxes often have minor imperfections such as slightly rounded or frayed corners (not sure if frayed is the right work, usually at the top), not completely flat boxes like bowed a touch, that's about it.

See the pics I purposely never take pics of a pristine example, partly because you don't see them much. The labels are usually imperfect, more than you would expect for the significant price.

For example, most are a matte black label that pics up anything oily and it sticks- and most have some example of this straight from the factory. That one is sometimes easier to find a nearly perfect one, but it's still around 1 in 10.

They aren't unicorns, maybe endangered. All pictures you see here are mine. If a batch number is pictured(unless Aventus), it is simply to put your mind at ease if you use a website to look them up etc. We do not take pictures of every bottle of course, so you may get a different batch number. All of my bottles are brand new, never used unless they are specified as such. All of my fragrances are always kept in light, temp, and humidity controlled environment.
